What a public link gives you
One URL for a project chat, with the settings in the Publish tab.
One link per project
Each project has its own public link. Copy it from the Publish tab and send it anywhere.
An expiry that fits the share
Set the link to expire in one day, one week, one month, or never.
Visitors ask in plain language
People type a question and read the answer, then ask follow-ups in the same chat.
Answers from one project
The chat draws on the files in the project you published, so you choose the audience by choosing the files.
Your own domain
Manage a custom domain from your account settings so the link matches your brand.
Switch it off any time
Turn the public link off in the Publish tab and the share ends.
How to publish a project chat
Four steps from a private project to a shared link.
1. Collect the files for this audience
Put the documents you want people to ask about into one project.
2. Ask a few questions yourself
Check that the answers read the way you want before you share.
3. Enable the public link
Open the Publish tab and switch on Enable public link.
4. Choose an expiry and share
Pick how long the link stays active, copy it, and send it.
When a published chat works well
Anywhere a group of people keeps asking about the same files.
Onboarding a new teammate
Share a handbook chat so a new hire can ask how things work from the first day.
Customer and partner questions
Publish a product guide or a policy note so customers can ask it directly.
Reviews and handoffs
Share a project for the length of a review, then let the link expire.
Ways to share a document
Each option gets information to a reader. A published chat lets the reader ask for exactly the part they need.
